BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Course

Immediate Care Training deliver the American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Course, Web-based and accessible 24 hours a day, provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches the concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support. The students will then present themselves to a pre-designated day and participate in a workshop, followed by skills evaluation.

Heartsaver CPR AED

This classroom course teaches basic CPR skills such as performing a head tilt-chin lift and giving compressions and breaths. The course provides training for anyone who wants to learn CPR and how to use an AED defibrillator. On completion you will obtain a Heartsaver course completion card.

Heartsaver CPR AED Online Course

Immediate Care Training deliver the Heartsaver CPR AED Online Course this is a Web-based, self-directed program. The program teaches student’s critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrive. Content includes how to perform CPR and use an AED. The students will then present themselves to a pre-designated Immediate Care Training day and participate in a workshop, followed by skills evaluation. AED Online Part 1

Cardiac First Response Community Level Training

Immediate Care Training deliver this course, it will provide learners with the knowledge, skill and ability to deal with several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner and recognise the signs of stoke and heart attacks.

Cardiac First Response Advanced Level Training

Immediate Care Training deliver the CFR Advanced Course certified by the Irish Heart Foundation it includes the BLS for Healthcare Provider Course plus the CFR Community Course segment and the CFR Advanced Course segment. The three parts of the course must be completed prior to certification. The advanced segment of the course covers oxygen delivery, airway adjuncts, insertion of SGA's, suctioning and the team concepts of resuscitation. The CFR-Advanced course takes a day to complete and you will receive an Irish Heart Foundation / Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) CFR Advanced Course completion card in addition to a BLS for Healthcare Provider Course completion card. This course is suitable for responders who will be using these advanced skills on a regular basis and who work as part of a team.

The American Heart Association’s ECG & Pharmacology course

This Immediate Care Training classroom-based, Instructor led course covers basic electrophysiology, normal ECG measurements, basic arrhythmias and the administration of appropriate drugs within the ACLS algorithms. The course contains two modules, ECG and Pharmacology, which may be taught separately or combined into one course. The ECG module takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete, while the Pharmacology module takes about 2.75 hours to complete. When taught together, the estimated course length is 6.25 hours without breaks. Upon successful completion of each module, students will receive a Certificate of Completion from the American Heart Association.

Generic Instructor Course

The GIC aims to teach the principles of adult learning. The 3-day course comprises of a flexible one-day on-line component (VLE) and a two-day face-to-face course. The course includes key note sessions, demonstrations and practice sessions in all six modalities of teaching and assessment required for life support training; lecture and presentation skills, skills teaching and assessment, teaching simulations, facilitating small groups and simulation assessment.
