American Heart Association BLS Provider Course — Classroom
Develop your practical skills and confidence in recognising cardiac arrest, performing high-quality CPR, using an AED and managing choking in adults, children and infants.
Our instructor-led classroom course combines theory, hands-on practice and team-based scenarios, with feedback throughout.

Certification: Successful participants receive an official AHA BLS Provider eCard, valid for two years.
Who is this course for?
Healthcare professionals and students who need BLS training or wish to renew their certification, including nurses, doctors, dentists and allied healthcare professionals.
What you will learn
- Recognition of cardiac arrest and activation of emergency help
- High-quality CPR for adults, children and infants
- One-rescuer and two-rescuer BLS skills
- Safe and effective use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Rescue breathing and bag-mask ventilation
- Management of choking in adults, children and infants
- Effective teamwork and communication during resuscitation
- The Chain of Survival
Practical training and assessment
You will practise CPR, AED use and ventilation using training equipment, with instructor guidance and opportunities to improve your technique. Successful completion requires the course knowledge and practical skills assessments.
Combine BLS with Anaphylaxis Management
On selected dates, you can complete both courses on the same day for €195. BLS runs first, followed by Anaphylaxis Management, with the combined day finishing at approximately 4:30 pm. Please check availability when booking.
Group and workplace training
We also provide training for healthcare teams at their own premises. Discounts are available for bookings of more than 10 participants. Contact us to discuss your team’s requirements.
