Participants will learn to perform CPR, use an AED, and manage choking incidents with confidence and efficiency.


BLS HeartCode course for HealthCare professionals

€145 Per Person
90 minutes online and 3 hours face-to-face

This is the full course which includes access to the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) where candidates will complete the online HeartCode portion, this is followed by attendance at the face-to-face course for skills practice. Both courses have Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points awarded for medical staff from the ICGP and Continuing Education Units (CEU's) for nursing staff from the INMB on successful completion the certificates and access to the VLE will have a duration of 2- years


BLS Heartsaver CPR/AED Course

90 minutes online (part 1) & 3 hours face-to-face (approx.)

The Heartsaver CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

The course is aimed at ensuring providers promptly recognise cardiac arrest, give high quality chest compressions and deliver appropriate ventilations as well as providing early and safe defibrillation through the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) within both a team setting and on an individual basis as per the latest guidelines. The course also teaches how to recognise and manage a choking victim. The above areas are taught in the context of adult, child and infant rescue techniques.


Cardiac First Responder (CFR) Course - Community Level

A cardiac first responder Community level is a person trained in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) who can respond to someone who has suddenly collapsed. A cardiac first responder plays a critical role in keeping a person alive until the commencement of expert medical care.

Ready to enhance your ECG & Pharmacology skills? Specifically designed to address key knowledge gaps in Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Pharmacology, the ECG and Pharmacology course focus on critical ECG recognition skills and drug treatment knowledge. These gaps have been identified as significant hurdles for ACLS students. Without strong competency in ECG recognition or drug treatment knowledge related to the ACLS algorithms, achieving ACLS certification can be challenging. These courses, therefore, have been redesigned as self-directed eLearning modules to address these gaps and serve as precourse options for ACLS students needing to improve in these areas.


Heartsaver CPR AED (Face-to-Face portion)

Heartsaver CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.


Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid, CPR and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students should complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor. This course provides students with the convenience of completing the course at their own pace wherever they have access to the Internet. It includes interactive exercises and videos to engage students and provide periodic points of knowledge transference, along with audio and transcript for students who may have a hearing or visual disability, and much more.
